Abraxane/Tykerb Need advise on side effects

Can anyone give me some advise about the side effects of Abraxane? I start Abraxane/Tykerb today. Was on Tykerb/Xeloda for 9 months and cancer has returned for the 6th time. Considering going to Birmingham, Al for second opion on my treatment regimen since 01/2002.

Had pet scan on 11/9 and will also get the results today. Fearfull of cancer spreading to other orgins.

I recently started Tykerb and I am stll on a very low dose due to severe naseau(sp?). I am going from 1 pill to 2 pills tonight. That is the main side effect I have with Tykerb.

I was on Abraxane for about 5 months and will begin it again this coming Friday. I was on a high dose, but my onc. is going to lower it a bit. The side effects I had with abraxane are about the same as I had when I took taxotere. I don't know what the combined side effects are, but we can compare notes later. Good luck with your new tx!

I am on Tykerb/Xeloda and have never had Abraxane. I would assume (maybe naively so) that you might have the symptoms that each individually comes with. But I woudn't even know how to predict what the combination might cause. Let us know how you are!

I was on Abraxane by itself a few years back and as I can recall it was a very easy drug to take. I can not recall having any side effects from it.

I was on Tykerb/Xeloda for 1 year and am now on Tykerb/Avastin. Abraxane may be another drug for me to look at again if I get progression or maybe add to the mix I am currently on.
