if you can take B6 with Xeloda? Or is it wiser to wait to take it between doses? I'm just rying to be relaly smart about any drug interactions with other meds/supplements/foods. And I have a hard time coordinating food and xeloda because i have to force myself to think about food during the day (all my life-not a side effect thing-i just get too busy and hate to stop).

I just asked my onc. yesterday about taking B6.

I am on Tykerb/Xeloda and he said it would be fine. I just started taking 50 mg 2x's daily (that is when I rember) with all of this pill popping sometimes I just get tired of swallowing MORE pills.

But he said it should be fine if I do not take a high dose

good luck girl

Exactly as Irene says! That is what my nutritional guru has me on and he knows EVERYTHING about chemo and supplement combinations...

It can be taken at the same time as Xeloda... I usually take my supplements at the beginning of my meal and the Xeloda at the end or within 30 - 45 minutes. 50mg 2 times a day. With breakfast and dinner. (dinner is also contingent upon when I remember... but AM seems easier to remember)

Joy-

I took 100mg of b6 in the morning with my xeloda so I wouldn't forget to take it and my teac said that was fine ( I was in a clinical trial so they were pretty strict). Good luck with it...

Kind regards,
