tykerb/taxotere??

Hello ladies,

It's been a long time since I've posted regarding my Mom but I keep up with all of you every day. Mom had some slight progression in her sternum mets while on xeloda/herceptin so her Onc is doing 17 rounds of radiation and then she will begin tykerb with taxotere. I can't seem to find anyone else on this combo. Does anyone out there have information for us?

I wonder why not Xeloda/Tykerb first? Or does the onc think that she has resisitance to Xeloda...

I. too. wonder why not tykerb/xeloda? Has she nenn on any of the other taxanes (Taxol, abraxane, etc) and done well? I would inquire as to the xeloda/tykerb combo that seems to work wonderfully for so many. Love, Vickie
