Hey friends,
Would you all please say a prayer for protection for a friend who has been diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian/peritoneal cancer. She had surgery 2 weeks ago - oh my gosh - the poor girl was virtually gutted. I know it sounds horrible described that way, but that is about the extent of it. Anyway, she will be starting intraperitoneal chemotherapy on May 7. I know Taxol will be one of her chemo drugs. Intraperitoneal chemotherapy is done through a cathetar in her abdomin. I read up on a bit so I'd understand better what she will be experiencing. It sounds like incredibly tough treatment - very very hard on the woman. My friend, Ruth is only 99 pounds - a very small, petite woman who is even smaller now since surgery.
I'm trusting in God and the power of prayer to protect her throughout this. To help her through it so she is able to complete it. Almost half of the woman who do this type of chemo are not able to complete it due to many complications. Please, please offer up a prayer for Ruth. I know you all will and thank you in advance.
Love & hugs,
Mary Jo
