I have had bone mets for 2 years...I had radiation to a couple of spots because the onc wanted to avoid any problems this was in Dec '05. Back in October I posted that I was having trouble with my port causing me neck and shoulder pain, well that did resolve itself...but now for the last 6 weeks I have had pain off and on in the shoulder and neck again!! I went to emerg and a walk in clinic over the Easter weekend and they thought maybe inflammation due to injury anyway..the pain was so bad that 5mg of morphine just took the edge off...My onc wants to do an x-ray of the shoulder..I know I have mets there, the pain is much better now without pain meds and I can feel it start to flair if I use my right arm too much...ie...the computer mouse...... of vaccuming or mopping etc.... the pain radiates down the arm and up the neck...my question is.....Do bone mets behave like this??with pain coming and going???
Also those of you with a port on the right side (and maybe left too) Do you have a hard painful (when any pressure is put on it) lump on your breast bone? I am thinking it is tubing from the port???
One more question...... Does anyone else have trouble with your ears..my left ear seems to plug up for a few days and then clear all by itself..I did have my left ear plug up for about 2 weeks ...not sure if it is a side effect or not..no pain with the ear...just annoying as heck!!
Thank you guys I sure appreciate being able to come here to ask questions.
