Sheila and I got together yesterday for the IL Day of Sharing in Rolling Meadows. Our booth was a huge success. It was so much fun to actually meet someone from the group. Would you believe we had no trouble talking!

That got us thinking. Would anyone from the N. IL area be interesting in getting together for lunch or dinner? We could meet at a half way point. Would a weekday or weekend be better for you?

Hope to meet more sisters!

You know you can count me in...yesterday was a very healing day for me...I think it does good to have our time to actually meet each other....in many ways we are closer than sisters, and with a lot in common! I had such a great time yesterday...you must bring your husband...he was a big seller for our group...it was a treat meeting you both...we'll get together again, soon!

Christine and Joe will be at the ASCO meeting June 1-5 in Chicago.

Hi, I would love to meet. I am fairly new, and don't post often, but do read (lurk?) a lot I guess. I live in Palatine, and a weekend would probably be better for me. I was sorry to miss the day in Rolling Meadows- I have my father staying with me this week for his 89th!! I heard it was good.

Hi Ruth,
I am so excited you would like to do lunch or dinner! The weekend is fine. I hope we can get this organized and meet once every month or two. Joe and Christine will be in Chicago the first week of June for a seminar downtown. I am going to let the post ride for a few more days. Then we can make plans. I was hoping we could do something in April and then the first week of June with Joe and Christine.

I am off for my first radiation at Rush today. One down and about 33 more to go.

Hi Sheila,
Thanks for thinking of me. The blood tests were good and I got #1, 35 to go!

Since I am going to be spending a lot of time at Rush would you mind sharing your schedule with me. If your treatment is anywhere near mine we could do lunch? I am sounding like the lunch queen.

Just had such a good time meeting you.
