I've tried lots of lotions and I personally have had the best results with "Camille Beckman" hand therapy. I don't live without it now. Love it. Its almost pure Glycerine. They have hand therapy creams, face, foot creams and you name it. I've mainly only buy the hand cream. It really gets in deep in the skin and makes your hands and skin so soft. Heres a little of whats in it. (And no, I do not work for them.) LOL>The lotion that made Camille Beckman famous! This unique restorative cream moisturizes and nourishes through the careful blending of Glycerine, Vitamin E, Aloe Vera, Wheat Protein, Almond Oil and Plant Extracts. Aids the skin in the development of a protective barrier against harsh elements and demands we ask of our hands.<
If you have any interest in trying it...just type in google "camille Beckman". I like putting it on my hands at night when I won't be washing them every five minutes. It does wonders.

Original Eucerine paste apllied 3x per day works for me. I think the estrogen deprivation leads to the dry skin. Chemo doesn't help. BB

The only thing I have found for my hands and feet to heal the cracks and dryness is AHAVA hand and foot cream.
You can get it at www.deadseamineral.com (http://www.deadseamineral.com)
Kathy,
If the bottem of your feet are extremely dry (mine were) I found a product
called Zim's Crack Creme - you pruchase this in any CVS pharmacy. It is a natural herbal product and works immediately. I put in on my feet and then
go to bed by morning there is 100% improvement.
Sheila's creme Ahava is great also, I purchased it and love for my hands.
But I found for my very dry feet the Zim's was great as it gave instant
help.
Good Luck....

Jean, can you use this crack creme on your fingertips? I have had such a problem recently with the tips of my thumbs cracking and they hurt. Any other suggestions for skin cracking on finger and thumb tips? Is this from Herceptin? That is all I am taking.
Hi Rinaina,
Yes you can (I have had those cracks also ) esp. on my cuticles the skin gets
so hard at the finger nail and cracks. Yes I use the the product. It is not thick
or greasy and has the texture like water and sets right into the skin.
Once I got my hands straightened out I use Sheila's cream daily and often.
I don't know why the feet seem to be more difficult...but try it. It is not exspensive and hopefully it will help you. It also smells natural and nice
like cloves nice and spicy.
By the way - your picture is "Great" what a beautiful smile you have.
Hugs,
Jean

I use products from Arbonne and love them. The makeup is wonderful, as it does not stain clothes like others do and doesn't feel like a mask. The foot cream is wonderful which I use on both hands and feet. They are natural, fragrance free, don't stain and is very reasonable in price. I can not tolerate anything that has petroleum in it or a greasy feeling. I try to stay away from products that use crude oil. I read somewhere if companies stopped using crude oil in all these products the oil companies would go backrupt. I then started researching these products and was amazed what they put in them. My nose is very sensitive and so I have to stay away from anything that has a smell to it unless its natural. I think we are all different and need to keep trying different products and see what works for us and what we feel comfortable using. Sharing here helps everyone. hugs, Sandy

Rinaina,
I'm on Herceptin only and the tips of my fingers (especially index finger) and thumbs are also cracking. I attribute it to the Herceptin since that's all I'm taking.

Thanks Jean for the compliment and for the recommendations. I agree with you Tousled about believing it must be the Herceptin since that is all we are on presently. Guess I better get busy and purchase the Zims crack cream and start using the Ahava lotion that I already have in the house. Thanks everyone for helping out once again. I am so grateful for all of you and this forum.
