Thank you to all of you who have so thoroughly and patiently answered my questions about this disease.

I came here for information that would help me be a better help to Sue, who is the love of my life. With your help I've been able to be better prepared and compassionate for her.
You have all been so wonderful. You've made a difference.

Sue will continue to write to you, which has always been the idea, as she is much more herself now than she was a few weeks ago. For me, I wanted to thank you all before taking my leave. I believe my usefulness here has long past.

I hope I don't have to speak with you again. I know you all understand what I mean when I say that. I hope that one day this site becomes totally unnecessary, but until then, know that you are a gift unto us all.

Your post sounds so final -- like losing a good friend. I do sincerely hope that both you and Sue will not become strangers. Everyone who comes to this board sort of becomes extended family, if you know what I mean. I do understand what you say when you hope you never have to speak here again. This is a dreadful disease and this site and the men/women here are sympathic, supportive and extremely knowledgeable. Wishing nothing but good news for both you and Sue.

It is truly wonderful for Sue that you, Kevin, are so supportive of her. There are a couple of other men on this site that were here to support their loved one. I too hope it will not be necessary for you to post for her.

I have learned so very much from all who post here. I am very thankful for this site. Until I found it, it seemed like so many of my questions weren't being answered.

Kevin, I think it is great how supportive and caring you have been for Sue. I am sorry you feel the need to take leave from us but happy you were here when Sue needed you to be here because she wasn't strong enough at the time. Please don't be a stranger though. It is so nice to hear the man's perspective on things and helps us better understand that side of things. Best to you and Sue.

Kevin, I can understand completely your wanting to take a leave from this. Cancer, cancer talk, living with cancer gets old and draining. I wish I would have never had to come to this board in the first place. But seeing that I do have to live with it, this board and the ladies here are the best. Only one that haves it truely understands how to live with it. Here's hoping you and Sue can put all this behind you and have a wonderful life together. She's lucky to have someone like you who was willing to stop by here and take interest in what she was going through. If you ever feel like stopping by, we'll be here.....hopefully for years and years and years and years..get the idea..sherryg683
