View Full Version : Christine
Christine had her routine brain MRI on January 15. The results of the test showed that she had developed a 1 cm tumor.
Today at 11:30 she is scheduled to undergo a Gamma Knife procedure. Please think of her in your prayers.
Warmest Regards
Joe

Wow. I was not aware till this moment. Joe and Christine will be added to our local prayer chain. I say local, but it stretches the length of the East coast. I wish all the best care for both of you. I had almost come to think that Christine had immunity from this mess after all this time. It's a reminder to all of us to remain vilgilant. God bless you both. You mean so very much to all of us and are the epitome of care and concern for others.
Much love,

Hi Joe and Christine,
I was absolutely shocked to log on and read this post. My heart goes out to you. I have had three brain surgeries in the past 2 1/2 years- one for a 3 cm met and 2 for radiation necrosis. I really thought that Christine was out of the woods with brain issues because she had been cancer free for so long. This really proves that none of us are, and it just seems so unfair for the two of you. I am truly sorry. You didn't need this. My best wishes for a speedy recovery, and hope this will be the last surprise MRI.
My thoughts are with you,
Barbara H.

So, by this time in the evening, the procedure is but a memory and the tumor has been zapped into oblivion.
So glad the lesion is small and there is no need to add insult to injury with the Decadron Drug from Hell. The side effects from that are MUCH worse than the Gamma Knife itself, which basically involves holding still with that "thing" on your head.
Bye bye tumor, hello NED.

Lots of love and prayers are being sent for you, Christine. God's blessings to you as you begin your recovery and healing.
I too had begun to think that Christine had been pardoned with time off for good behavior. Having someone get mets just stirs up emotions on how unfair it all is.
Prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery. Bev
