I will be doing the Komen walk in Dallas on October 21 with my sister and nieces (as I have done for years - even before I was diagnosed with BC) - then, as usual, we will go to the Texas State Fair that night.
Any of you walking Komen that day? If so, I'd love to meet you.
Kindest regards
Becky

I am getting ready for mine which will be on Oct 13th in Tampa, Fl.
I am very excited and my team and I have been working very hard all year in preparation.
This is my first walk an hoping I can pull it off. But no matter how many miles I can make, it will be very inspirational to be there walking in unity with so many people for this cause.
I will look through your area's photo gallery once yours in done.
Have fun -
I will be doing the Arizona walk in Phoenix the first weekend of November. My daughter and I are a team. I am really looking forward to the whole experience and have been "training" throughout the summer.
Becky - good luck to you with your Dallas walk, it sounds like you are an old pro at it!
Irene - again - best of luck to you, I'm with you in what ever you can walk it will be a wonderful experience...and I think camping on the beach is such a neat thing, too!

My friend at work walked in Detroit in August for me. His mission was to spread the word that 'Men get breast cancer, too". (I have male breast cancer). That was his first experience with the Komen walk and he was totally inspired with the men and women that took the time and effort to raise money for research. I am certain you will have the same gratifying experience. pel50
