I am having moving pain in my right hand since two days, it is like shooting pain inside of the hand which comes evey 2 to 5 minutes. It is really painful. I am only on Herceptin. Anybody has idea what might be causing it.
thanks,
Julie
Julie,
I had this pain on my right hand as well during AC. Shooting pains. My onc had not noticed this with other patients. The only conclusion I arrived at was that my hand was suffering from too much computer mouse use and when I received the ac, it hit that weak link, my hand. I have some now under taxol also but it's a different pain

Julie, it could be nerve pain; how long since you've had chemo? Some nerve damage can remain and cause symptoms months later. Also, I have arthritis in my joints, including my wrists, which is aggravated by Herceptin. It's more of an ache rather than a shooting pain however. But you should call in to your onc's office and let them know you're having these pains if they persist.
