Young Survivors Conference: Scholarships and Information Available

Dear HER Support Group:

Living Beyond Breast Cancer and the Young Survival Coalition are writing to
inform you that we have travel scholarships available for young women
affected by breast cancer who may be connected to your organization or
group. We want to provide access to the educational information,
networking, community, and hope that the 6th Annual Conference for Young
Women Affected by Breast Cancer has to offer to young women, their
partners, family members and healthcare providers. Both organizations
presenting this conference are committed to increasing the diversity of
conference participants by geography, race, ethnicity and lifestyle. We are
reaching out to you to help us achieve that goal and reduce barriers to
this much-needed information and desire for young women and their families
to connect with others in a similar circumstance.

This one-of-a-kind national and international educational program has
expanded to three days this year and will be held the weekend of February
24-26, 2006 at the Adam’s Mark Hotel in Denver, Colorado. The conference
focuses on delivering the most current information to address the unique
needs and issues faced by pre-menopausal women and families affected by
breast cancer. This event features educational programming and networking
opportunities focused on every phase of a young woman’s breast cancer
journey: from those recently diagnosed, to those currently in treatment,
women living with advanced breast cancer and those who are post-treatment
and living years beyond this serious disease. Caregivers are also
encouraged to attend special sessions developed to meet their needs.

Please visit the dedicated website at
http://www.youngsurvivorsconference.org. The 2006 program agenda has been
posted. It will be updated regularly so check back often for new
information.

Please let us know a few things:

* Would you consider helping us spread the word about this unique
educational program by posting information on your website, forwarding an
email we can send to you to be distributed throughout your network or any
other venues you have available? If yes, please let us know how you plan to
assist us. Will you distribute conference brochures that we can mail to
you? If yes, please tell us how many brochures you will need and to what
address we should mail them. Will you send an email to your network or post
information on a message board? If yes, we can supply the text to you to
use. Or will you use another method? We will acknowledge all groups who
help promote the conference in a future newsletter issue, so please let us
know if you plan to help.

* Will you inform your constituents or members of the travel scholarships
available for women who may benefit from attending this program? The
scholarship application form is conveniently available on the conference
website http://www.youngsurvivorsconference.org/scholarship_info.html.
Funding is limited, so an early application will offer the greatest
opportunity for travel support. We encourage all women who experience
financial hardship to apply.

Thank you for considering our request. Please do not hesitate to contact
any one of us for more information and to let us know how you are able to
assist our outreach efforts.

Sincerely,
