Hair loss spots

Hi

My wife is currently having chemo ( carboplatin, Taxol and Herceptin ) This is the second time she has lost her hair. She is gettin red dry spots on her scalp. Any ideas on how to help this. Very itchy.

There is a name for this condition that escapes me at the moment. I had my head shaved once my hair began to come out in earnest. Lost it all twice and it bably thinned this year after Gamma Knife to my brain.

I use some hair care products from Nioxin. One called Scalp Therapy was especially nice and soothing. I also used a body lotion from the health food store that I use everywhere called ABRA Theraputic Cellular Detox Lotion. It is not expensive and is also avail on line.

My scalp actually would get sore in places on top of the itchy thing. Most annoying. I was careful to keep my hats and kerchiefs clean.
