Has anyone had the cancer spread to their bladder or intestines? I am having issues with my bladder feeling funny. Nothing to do with burning or blood in my urine, just a feeling of pressure in that area. If you have, was there anything else you had done other than the usual Herceptin? I had a CT scan done and will meet with the onc on Tues.
I appreciate any advice. Thanks, Kathy

Do you still menstrate or are you on Tamoxifen? I had fullness issues with both (but got my ovaries removed this summer and I am now on Arimidex so I don't have a thick or full uterus anymore).
Also, I did just get over a bladder infection about 3 weeks ago and I felt funny for a day or so before.
It is very, very, very, very rare for breast cancer to spread to the bladder but you should mention this to your onco anyway just in case you are getting a bladder infection or if any medications or supplements you are taking is causing the funny feeling.
Warm regards

Kathy,
Are you still on chemo? Where are you at with tx's? I'm fighting a bladder infection right now. I'm sure that's what it is. It sounds exactly what i was feeling. I never had any bladder infections before cancer. We must be prone to them now. Drink cranberry juice that will help temporarily. You need to go to your dr. and get a urine test done.

Hey friends,
Thanks for the reply. I am 5 years out since my initial dx. I had the A/C & taxol regimen but was on the arm that did not receive herceptin, double masectomy-no radiation. I had a total hysterectomy 11 years ago due to a very extreme case of endometriosis that created a tumor the size of a grapefruit (so no tamoxifin for me). This tumor was attached to my bladder. Maybe there is a connection to my problem from that.
I am hoping your right and it is rare for the HER2 cancer to spread to the bladder. So if there are any ladies out there that ended up having it in your bladder or intestines, please let me know your circumstance. Perhaps other would like to hear about it since it is rare.
I really appreciate the feed back.

kathy,
are you on Herceptin now, or is it too far out? What stage were you in? I'm a nurse, and i see alotttt of women come in with the stuff that your having. (Including me) Are you having any blood in your urine? That's a sign of bladder cancer, but i have blood in my urine and my urine test did show bladder infection, so i'm going with that. My grandma had bladder cancer, but did not have breast cancer. Have you gone to the dr. yet about it?
