I just got home from my radiation "fitting".On my way out I picked up a copy of my brain ct results and wasn't able to talk to my onc about it before I left.
I think if this was something to be worried about she would have come out and talked to me so, I'm only a little nervous about it.
I know you are not all doctors and I should be talking to my Dr. about this but if anyone has an idea that this is just normal aging stuff, as it looks like to me from what I have been researching, I will sleep better tonight. I will put a call into my onc tomorrow so she can explain it to me in detail.
This is what the report says:
Findings: There is a punctate hyperdensity suggesting faint calcification right globus pallidus.
Impression:Faint calcification right globus pallidus, usually physiologic.

Any info to clear this up is apreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Alice

The doctors always use words that you cannot find in the dictionary and write prescriptions no one can decipher. What the pathologist is saying is that you have ageing spots. If there is carcinoma, he would have said that. Hope your sleep has been good.

I hope you had a brain MRI and not a CT scan to get a proper Dx. MRI is the scan of choice. Ask your Dr to repeat the scan next time with MRI. The report does not indicate a tumor, but should be followed up with MRI to make sure.
