I have been reading about some of you using curcurmin and turmeric, and am curious about why and how. I know Cumin and Turmeric are spices you can find at the grocery store. Is curcurmin the same as cumin? Where do you buy it? Do you use the spices in cooking, etc.? I would appreciate any comments. Also, what is the name of the flax seed you order online that gives a discount for cancer patients? I have found some really good vitamin and mineral supplements from Cancer Centers of America which I take. They are expensive but really good and made especially for people fighting cancer in or out of their centers. Thanks to all of you who are knowledgeable about supplements and such for your postings. I really appreciate it. Hugs, Tricia

Curcumin is what gives Turmeric its yellow color (be careful when using it as it stains). I just buy turmeric at the grocery store. I make a salad every day and sprinkle it on my salad ( I must agree though w/ Michele's post that it does make you gasey). Good luck.

Hi,
Go to Google, find under curcumin for breast cancer experiment at M.D.Anderson. The short summary is not too scientific, but what do you have to lose? Make sure you take the capsule with food.
Best luck.

The flaxseed is Barlean's and the 800 number is on the bottle. This is the manufacture so just call them and tell them you have or have had cancer and you will get it at the wholesale price which is quite a savings. I get 3 32 oz bottles for $5.00 shipping and handling. It can be frozen up to two years they told me. If case you don't have a bottle the number is 1-800-445-3529. Good luck, hugs, Sandy
