If your er-, Her2+ and have a hyst. does your chances of a reacurrance decreace for BC?
I have tried to find some articles in Pub Med with no luck, any thoughts or articles you know of?
Do you know of anyone who has met after a hyst?
Thanks in advance

ps: this all stems from a conversation I had with a genetics counselor and didn't want to bore you with all the details. ty.

I was origionally diagnosed stage 1, Sept 91. Modified rad. mast. w/tram recon., 6 months cytoxin, methotrexate, and 5fu. I had complete hysterectomy, including ovaries, Feb. 14, 1998 (Happy Valentines Day!). Then dx. with mets to spine, ribs, chest, and pelvis, Feb. 2004. Biopsy result showed her2+, er, pr, -. Origionally they thought I was er, pr,+. I'm doing better then I ever expected, so keep the faith. Blessings, Lu Ann.

Hi Kristen,

Streetsboro is southeast of Cleveland and North of Kent State University (May 4, 1970, Viet Nam War Riot). Cincinnati is a long way from where I live.

It was a shock and unbelievable that I would have a reoccurrance after so long, but from what I have seen from this board I'm not the only one. MY mother in-law had a friend who died June 2003 at age 90 from BC that she had when she was in her 50's.

Having faith and fighting back the fear is how I'm able to deal with all of this. I'm glad you have the faith.

Take care and God Bless you. Lu Ann.
