Hi everyone, I just recently got hold of my full lab report from last year and was wondering about the normal amount of Her2 copies per cell. My report says 15.2, and also the number of cen 17 copies per cell is 2.6. Is 15.2 a really high number? This was the FISH report. The Her2 test with Hercept says "2.5 - overexpression". Other than that, there's "Unfavorable Prognostic Significance" for just about every other test they did. Lucky me, huh?

The average. number of HER-2/neu gene copies per tumor cell nucleus in samples ranged from 1.28 to 25.50; I think anything over 4.00 is considered an overexpression?

If you want it all in depth, try this rather wordy paper.
