Hi Ladies,

I would like to hear stories from anyone who has failed chemo several times then went on to find the "magic bullet". What treatment worked best for you? I need some inspiration.

Thanks much,

Beth

Beth, I have had several different chemos in the past year or so. You can read the list in my post "Has anyone not had success w/ herceptin" I hope it helps some. I will check back w/ you later. There are lots of meds out there, so try not to lose hope. I know it is hard not to get frustrated(angry, depressed, fill-in-the-blank). If you need to vent, go ahead, I won't mind listening.

Hi Blue,
Thanks for responding. I read you did 2 treatments of doxil. How did you
feel on it? If I don't pass the requirements for a clinical trial I am going for
or if I fail on it the doctor is going to quit herceptin for me also and put me
on doxil. Have you ever had a total response to any of the chemos you tried? I did the first time on taxol/herceptin. Then when it came back I went on taxol/carbo/herceptin and after 12 weeks it was shrinking. 12 more weeks showed 1 cm growth. 12 weeks navelbine showed another 1 cm growth on the same liver spot. I hope you do well this time on your meds and have a good scan!

Your friend,

Beth
