I am scheduled to start Herceptin on Aug. 29th, every three weeks for one year. My onc doesn't feel that my insurance is going to pay, but not positive. I was diagnosed 8/04 (stage III, tumor 8 cm, 1 positive node of 9, er/pr negative and her2 positive, 3+) I had 12 weeks of chemo, lumpectomy, re-excision, mastectectomy, another 12 weeks of chemo, TRAM Flap reconstruction 6/9/05 and will finish radiation this coming week. My insurance is with UnitedHealthCare (PPO). I would appreciate any feedback from anyone with UnitedHealthCare who is receiving Herceptin and is not stage IV, or anyone with UnitedHealthCare who's been denied.

Thanks,
Stacy

Stacy,

Did you see the replies to your previous post?

Hey Sassy,

Yes, I did see the replies to my previous post, but none of them indicated that they were on UnitedHealthCare. Lot's of people who are receiving Herceptin with ins. coverage seem to be on BC/BS.
