Taxotere/ Carboplatin Combo with Herceptin

I just started with chemo 2 weeks ago. I am being given a combination of taxotere/ carboplatin once every 3 weeks and weekly Herceptin. I am just wondering if anyone out there had been treated with this combination.
I was diagnosed last June with stage iv BC, ER/PR -, her2 +++ with liver metz. I had modified radical mastectomy and tumor removed from my breast was 1.7 cm and negative on the lymph nodes.
How well did you respond with this combination? Anyone with similar diagnosis as mine with a different chemo drug combination?

Helen - I have a different type of BC (Inflammatory) which spread to my lungs, liver and far right nodes (originally on the left side five years ago). I have been taking daily Femara, weekly Herceptin and Carbo/Taxotere 3 weeks on and one week off since the relapse. After three months, the lesions on my lungs and the lymph nodes were all clear and the lesion on my liver shrunk to half the size! After three more months - NED (No Evidence of Disease)!!!! I hope you do as well - I want you to dance with NED like I do!!!

I was on that combo and cleared everything up. I did well until platelets got too low and had to stop before the last treatment.

I took this combo but I took it two weeks on and one off. By doing it more awful at lower doses I didn't loose my hair. It worked well for me for awhile. Patty H

The Taxotiere, Carboplatin, & Herceptin combination has worked great for me so far. Hoping to be classified as NED after my next PET/CT.

Diagnosed Aug. 2, 2004
Metaplastic adenosquamous carcinoma BC - Stage IV
Her2 3+ @ greater than 90% w/mets to the liver

Taxotiere, Carboplatin, & Herceptin 8 rounds every 3 weeks.
(Herceptin weekly during this chemo for 52 weeks so far).

My oncologist is considering me for a vaccine trial.
