Has anyone heard from Lisa? How did her MRI come out on her spine?
How did her first treatment go with Gemzar? She is always so good about posting, I am just concerned as I am sure a lot of you are. I did't know if Joe or Christine have contacted her or if she is waiting to tell us herself.
Blessings to you Lisa, we are all praying for you. LOL k
So sorry I didn't reply. THanks for caring.
I did get my first Gemzar/Herceptin/Zometa treatment yesterday. It went fine, didn't sleep much (Decadron), and woke up with a flushed red face. But went to the County Fair today and walked around in the heat, so so far so good.
As for the spine MRI, it showed the lesion has NOT impinged in the epideural area near the cord. For now, we'll see how the chemo does, but I'll sure want to keep a close watch on it.
No trip to NJ to visit little Laynie, stepgrandbaby. We'll fly she and Mom out as soon as the pediatrician O.K.s it. That way she'll also get to see her new Uncle and cousins and Great Aunt, etc. But I'm just not sure my husband (the offical grandad can wait that long.)
Love and light to you all,
Lisa

I'm glad that the new chemo regiment was okay and the MRI was good too. Gezmar can be a great drug and you should respond to it well. You'll probably sleep good tonight.
Best wishes,

Lisa,
I've been waiting all day to hear how your chemo went and how you are generally doing. I hope that this new combo works for you. I'm sure it won't be long before your granddaughter can fly. Please post some pictures when she visits.
Best wishes,
Barbara H.

Dear Lisa,
Sooooo good to hear it went well. I am glad that the burger isn't impinging on anything. That is such great news! I know you will beat this all down with Gemzar. You know it has that space age name that sounds like a lazer that will just zap it away. Glad to hear from you. LOL to you. K

Big sigh of relief that the lesion isn't in a tricky place; like you say, so far so GOOD! I'm glad you are planning to have your newest addition come to you, it will be much easier on you this way...We want pictures as soon as that happens!

Lolly

Lisa -- You've been in my thoughts -- I'm so glad to hear the MRI results were not what you feared. I haven't been on gemzar, but from what I read it's also a very effective chemo. You are such a strong courageous person, I know you'll do well on this & beat these cancer cells back, back, back. I'm glad your grandbaby is coming to see you soon! Just thinking of hugging that new little darlling will bring healing energy to you too. Pam
