I would like to ask those of you who are participating in the vaccine trials if you could shed some light on what you know, or even think may be the course and outcomes of the trials. They seems so promising. I am wondering first how long they have been going and how long they are scheduled to go. Do you think there is any chance they will end like the Herceptin trials? If so, will vaccines be made available to any HER2 positive patient even without recurrence as a preventative measure? And is there any idea at what point starting the vaccine's is most beneficial?
I know many questions remain unanswered, but those of you in the trials are so well informed and I am so thankful for you and all that I have learned from you. I would be grateful for your insights, even if they are not concrete.

Thank you and God Bless you all,
Cheryl

Cheryl, the vaccines ARE promising, but it's early days yet. I'm hoping for longer periods of time between recurrences and possibly less severe recurrences, but only time will tell. If the vaccines help me to control the cancer and keep it at a manageable level, I'll be very happy indeed. More than that will be thrilling, but again, time will tell.
