What is considered "low" or the normal range for the CA 27/29 marker tests? I know that numbers under 35 are considered in the normal range for the CA 125 test.

Thank you in advance

My resource says "less than or equal to 38 U/mL, female or male"

The "normal" range for the CA27-29 is 0-38.
My numbers range from 19 to 25 - normally 21 or 22. My med onc is very happy with stable numbers in this range for me.

I am told by one of the infusion nurses that even people without cancer will have a number for this test. Have not yet checked on this info for myself. Maybe someone else has a thought??

Ok, so does a CA 27-29 result within the normal range of 0-38 mean that the cancer cells are being kept under control?

If the result is in the normal range, would that mean you are NED?

Can you have a normal range result, yet still have mets tumors?

Anybody have any input on this? I've been wondering about this for a while.
