Methotrexate: has anyone taken it?

Has anyone taken methotrexate? If so, have you taken it in combination with some other chemothrapic? How is it? What are its side effects?
I am BC stage IV. Have already taken navelbine, taxol, cisplatin and Xeloda. Look forward to hearing from you. Thak you so much. Beatrice

My sister has taken Methotrexate on and off for quite a while, not for cancer but for systemic lupus/psoriasis. She has had no side effects, but apparently it can affect the liver because she had to have liver biopsies every year or two. One of her sisters-in-law was also given methtrextae, in her case for rheumatoid arthritis (which she got when she was very young), and it proved to be the solution, after many years of unsuccessful medications.
