Hi everyone, Just wanted to tell you that I am celebrating my first year anniversary of cancer treatment, and doing very well! One year ago today I had a heart attack, which led to the discovery of BC mets in my lungs when they did a CT scan before heart surgery ( the heart surgery has never been done). As I've told you before, this is the third time in 20 years that I've been diagnosed with BC. The Onc told me then, a year ago, that if they hadn't caught this latest met when they did that I wouldn't have had 6 months to live because it is her2 positive. He imediately put me on herceptin and the cancer has not grown or changed in a year. I did 6 months of navelbine with the herceptin, and have been on femara from the first. I feel so greatly blessed to still be around and doing so well, even though I am 75 and a half years old! I have had the same Onc for 20 years. He seems constantly amazed at how positive I am, and he knows I am a fighter. I think herceptin has been a great blessing to all of us! Again I want to thank all of you on this site who have helped me so much. I was so alone 20 years ago, so scared---my younger sister had just died of BC and I didn't see much hope for me. Now I feel so much more positive and I appreciate all your comments and help. I don't believe my BC was her2 then because I don't think I would have made it then without herceptin, so evidently it can change from negative to positive. Anyway, thank you all, and let's just keep a'keeping on! Love & best wishes, Tricia.

Tricia, Happy Annniversary!!! Your story is an inspiration for all of us, and comes at such a good time as there has been some anxiety for some of us lately with scans, tests, etc. You've helped cheer the board up :)
