Hi Christine -

I read one of your post regarding a her2 serum test that you had done.

I am sorry but I did not understand what the purpose of this test is for. Does it determine if Herceptin is still working in your system? Or how exactly does it work. I am very interested as I am at a point (with a new recurrence) in deciding if I will continue on Herceptin and if it is still doing it's thing or switching to some other similar drug. Herceptin has been such a part of my life for the last 5 1/2 yrs. and no one really knows if possibly it is helping keeping my activity more controlled, I hate to stop.

I will ask my onc. about this test but maybe you can enlighten me.
