Last year at this time I recall some of you in So. Cal got together in San Diego for lunch....I remember wishing I could be there, my husband and I did our post graduate work in SD and I have such fond memories. Anyone want to meet me for lunch the last week of June in SD? I would love to meet christine, joe, esther and anyone else including lurkers who would like to help me celebrate totaly NED.

Turns out I did not need that Liver resection I was worrying about because I'm very very NED not just "stable" disease.....in the last scans they could not find anything in my liver at all where the lesions had been!!!!. looks like the herceptin and aromasin combo finished off the job.

Had an echo yesterday and my heart is pumping strong, and had my blood drawn for the bayer serum her2 test. Should know the results in 3-4 days. I am feeling really good, so I am grabbing the family and heading to San Diego for the summer to finally take what is left of what was suppose to be our sabbatical year. Managed to find a place to rent just a few blocks from the beach near were my husband and I lived when we first got married. I can hardly wait to go....just have to wait until after my next herceptin so that I minimize the number of times I have to fly back to Miami for treatment.

have a great memorial day weekend--- gone sailing

Hi,
Congratulations! Thanks for sharing your positive story. I would definitely like to meet for lunch in San Diego. I live here and I have 2 daughters who are 11 and 13. I'm also NED. Thank God! I started treatment in 2001. I also had a mastectomy with no reconstruction. It would be great to meet you.
Count me in!

What are the exact dates for your San Diego trip?

The HER2 Support Group will be exhibiting at the San Diego Cancer Survivorship Celebration at Spanish Landing on June 26th. There will be about 5,000 survivors attending.

Everyone can meet there and go to dinner afterwards. There are many fine restaurants in the area.

If you won't be in town that day, we will make other arrangements.

Hugs and well wishes,
Christine & Joe

The 26th works for me. I'll mark that down on my calendar. That is Sunday, right?

KK1 said the 25th in her message, but Joe says the 26th, so I'm thinking the 26th is the right day.

Now we need someone to do a head count, so we can make reservations.
