Just wondering

Just wondering here...Green Bay Packers quarterback, Brett Favre, said in the newspaper that his wife, Deanna, has breast cancer that "is as aggressive as it gets, but it's treatable." She's being treated at Mem-Sloan-Kettering, I believe. Don't know much about Elizabeth Edwards and her type and treatment. But, wouldn't it be beneficial to all of us what these "high profile" women, who have the "access" and best doctors at hand, are being given and how their treatments are given? Seems to me that we can learn something here. If so, how does one find out the specifics without prying. I mean this is about our life here, too.

Remembering back to the first weeks and indeed months after my diagnosis and starting treatment, it was very trying time; we basically holed up for nine months until I got through it. My husband didn't work, we just took care of each other and our family...I would imagine that these "high profile" women need their privacy now, just as we regular people do, and after they come out on the "other side" will endevor to share their experiences with others in an effort to help the cause, knowing the world is watching. Elizabeth Edwards in particular has in the past been very giving of her time to several causes, so I would suggest patience and understanding is in order.
