Hi all,
I went in for an preop brain MRI before my surgery to remove 2 brain mets. Turns out the WBR shrank the tumors .5 cm(started off 1.5cm) for one and almost 1cm(started off 2.95) for the other. They decided that they would not do the surgery and would do a follow up MRI in two weeks to see if the shrinkage continues. If it does he feels that I would be a better candidate for cyberknife. So that is my news ... I still may have the surgery in the future but I get the holiday season to wait and see. Peace and love to all! Alicia

Dear Alicia -
Such wonderful news from you.
A great holiday gift to those of us on this board. We will all pray that the shrinkage continues and you can have the "knife."
I have not-so-good news from a friend whose liver tumors are not responding well and she has to change drugs again. She did not persue RFA when she had only two spots, but that may not have been the answer anyway.
Enjoy the end of the year with lots of joy and cheer.
