38 @ time of DX July 2001. Married for 15 years with 3 beautiful girls 4 6 and 14
DX with infiltrating intraductal carcinoma grade 3 ER/PR- HER2+++ 4/11 positive lymphnodes
August 2001 bilateral mastectomies had to wait to have reconstruction.
Started chemo August 2001 4 a/c followed with 4 taxol followed with 27 radiation zaps.
Doing great so decided to have my reconstruction
Bilateral Tram Flap with implants. (still have 1 more outpatient surgery before totally finished.)
I had been noticing my tm going up very gradually. I was told they aren't reliable. However it has been proven to be very benefitial for me.
January 2003 DX with Bone Mets. Was immediatly put on Herceptin and Navelbine with Zometa monthly.
April 2003 Oncologist decided the Navelbine isn't working and I actually had a little progression. Was immediatly put on Taxotere weekly for 3 weeks and then off for 1. Also continued the Zometa monthly infusion. After 6 weeks of Taxotere tumor marker went from 70 to 37.6. I also do not have back pain anymore so am convinced this treatment is working.
