Hi !
I am considered in complete remission untill July, after the 1st diag in 1994. I had mastectomy in 94 followed by chemo and then lumpectomy on the scar in 98, then followed by again checm+radiation. On a routine it was revailed I am with liver met, 0.9mm*0.9 mm laision and another one 0.6 mmX 0.6 mm in the last week reort and now considering "herceptin".
To receive it I shouild be her2+ and I dont know whether i could get those old records back as this was not checked in that time, is there any other way that any one of you got without liver biopsy ?

Hi Chan,
I was diagnosed with local and regional mets through a biopsy of an enlarged supraclavicular lymph node(at the base of my neck). Although liver and bone scans were negative, I think I possibly had mets there due to pain & tenderness.
Do you have any enlarged nodes in your neck? That would confirm regional disease and qualify you for Herceptin. I don't know if enlarged nodes in the groin are a possible biopsy site, but worth exploring the idea with your surgeon. Some nodes are hard to get to due to the proximity of nerves and blood vessels. Hope this is helpful and please keep us posted...
