Cyndi and I have four daughters, ages 31 to 36. They are very interested in knowing: What is the probability of developing breast cancer in their lifetime? Are they at greater risk because of mom’s HER2+++ status? Are there studies addressing these concerns? Are there preventative measures they should be exploring?

One of the daughters is seriously considering a preventative double mastectomy. Two have early fiber cystic disease, a condition experienced by Cyndi also. One has had a couple of small breast tumor biopsies as well as a couple of suspicious fatty tumors on her head. All of the biopsies have been benign or non-cancerous.

All of the girls have expressed interest in becoming part of a study or trial, if there are such activities at this time.

Thanks for any information you may have.
