You said it perfect...we HAVE been given a second chance at life!! I sonetimes look at this as a blessing in disguise, I take time and chances now I wouldn't have dreamed of allowing myself before. I lost a dear friend a couple of months ago, very suddenly due to an aortic tear...just like John Ritter..he wasn't given the second chance...he was here one day and gone the next...but he enjoyed every minute of life he was given, and I plan to do the same. Remember, take time to smell the roses...you deserve it! Focus on living, and do it fully!!!

Thank you all for your thoughtful and courageous responses. It is definitely food for thought. I think if I were more functional and weren't on prednisone it would be so much better. I am going to find out about medication as well to smooth out the prednisone. I wake up happy every day and then once I take the prednisone, I dissolve into tears.
