Treatment changed!

Today, the onc took me off Navelbine and Miltes and started me on Xeloda!

Any words of wisdom on the management of side effects etc. I will be taking 4 of the large pills each morning and 3 each night.

I must say, I am a bit nervous.

I too was just taken off Navelbine & started xeloda for skin mets, and am continuing Herceptin. I am taking 3 pills 500mg ea., a.m. & p.m. Will have CBC in 1 wk to ck blood counts. I guess diarrhea can be common, no problems so far. My biggest fear is the hand & foot syndrome. I had shingles on my left arm & hand last Nov., still have tingling in hand. I asked my onc about Miltex and he of course had not heard of it. Keep me posted on your progress with xeloda. Best to you, Velva
