stress linked to developing cancer

I attended a cancer talk today and was surprised to here the speaker say that stress was linked to the cause of cancer. I know I have seen plenty of articles to debunk this idea but can't lay my hands on them quickly. Does anyone have ready access to this info. I emphasise READY, as I know I can find them again and am just taking the lazy way out.... this must mean I have too much to do and need to slow down!!!

I think they are talking about stress lowers the immune system and this can lead to cancer. Hugs, Sandy
