what is gemcitabine?

Maybe this is another name for something I have heard of - but not placing it ATM.
Would like to know more about this.
I took Taxol & navelbine in a trial.
It worked!

Gemcitabine is gemzar, which I'm taking alone now. I'm not anxious to start the taxanes since that's guaranteed to cause hair loss....silly, I know, but important to me at this point. It took SO long to grow out before and looked like a brillo pad for a long time. Glad you had good luck with your combo!
