I would love to know of those with stage 1 and no node involvement that had a reoccurrence, how many had a mastectomy instead of a lumpectomy.

I was stage 1, 0/16 nodes were positive, I had a modified radical mastectomy with node dissection, mets found 1 1/2 years later.

I was diagnosed with a 1.7 cm tumour, no nodes and DCIS. I received a modified mastecomy. I am currently in chemo and am receiving 4 rounds of A/C and 4 rounds of taxol, dose dense.
