Dear All
I am starting Navelbine tomorrow as my pathology showed again weeny cells on my scar line - good nes though some showed radiation effectiveness which hadn't come up on previous pathologies ( 2 times on scar). My hair grew for the 8 months off chemo - only short but then thinned on taxol. I just wondered if anyone had actual growth on Navelbine.

Thanks
love
Linda

I lost my hair while on taxotere/herceptin, but started hair growing when this combo stopped working for me. I had Novelbine/herceptin for 6 treatments now, the hair is still the same. Do not know if it is still growing.

Hi there, I had about 65 doses of Navelbine and I think I only lost a few strands, not enough to even notice, so I have healthy long hair, I questioned about that before I started.

I had navelbine with Taxol so of course I lost mine again. But, have 2 friends taking only the Navelbine with their Herceptin as they have new mets. Neither has lost much hair - only slightly thinned - as they had NED long enough to get their normal hair back.
Hope this gives you some encouragement. My hair grew back now second time just fine - like before, but not curly ;(

My hair grew on Navelbine from bald to 3 to 4 inches in about 11 months. It came in fine and thin, but at least it was hair! In the 4 to 5 weeks to Xeloda that immediately followed Navelbine, it seems thicker and healthier.

I actually lost most of my hair on Navelbine. It thinned so badly, I had to shave my head. It remained bald until I switched from weekly to b-weekly treatments, then VERY slowly has started to grow back.

So many different replies, I guess time will tell. Good luck!

Love and healing light,
