Ladies -
I really had a problem with quickened pulse especially on the Taxol/Navelbine/Herceptin trial for my liver mets. It was usually around 88-95 resting. Without much effort I would get clammy and short of breath. My nurse friend theorized it was probably due to my low red and white counts and my heart working overtime to try to keep the normal amount of oxygen and nutrients to my tissues.
A couple of months after getting off this tough regimen my pulse was lower (I would use a blood pressure monitor to check between clinic visits). It has been normal since about 4 months after finishing that last round of treatment almost 2 years ago.
