I was dx Oct 03, then bone mets dx (two small areas) in Feb this year.
I was told a couple of days ago that my primary tumour was HER2+.
I imagine from what you have suggested, that my small primary 2.2cm, one encapsulated pos. node, no vascular invasion, probably had already spread due to HER2+ status.
My onc. told me I was a complex case and I am beginning to understand what he may have meant.
My primary tumour was 50% ER+, 10% PR+, and 25% of the cells were overexpressing the HER2/neu gene (++).
I have been told that I will go onto Armidex after my CMF chemo is finished, but not Herceptin yet.
I wonder if Armidex and Herceptin can be given at the same time, I'll have to try to find out.
