Hi Lyn, Not being a doctor, I don't know much about how this combo works for lymph nodes. This is a phase 1 clinical trail so I believe they are establishing safety and dosage. I'm in the high dose group. I heard some of the patients are getting good results, but not all. Avastin has only been approved for colorectal cancer. They are testing it alone and with various other drugs to see what works for metastatic breast cancer. The results of my trail are not in yet as it just started in December. I believe they publish results when the trails are finished. There are other Avastin trails listed on- http://clinicaltrials.gov/. I've basically become a guinea pig in order to get this cutting edge treatment. Hope this helps and all the best, Carol

Hi Carol, thanks for the site, I checked it out and I fail the heart bit, now I have been labelled with chronic heart failure, thanks to the thyroid treatment so I will have to keep looking.

Hugs Lyn

Are you saying that the thyroid medication gave you chronic heart problems? Hug, Sandy

Hi there, no my thyroid medication is fine now, one week I was overactive and the next underactive so I ended up in hospital until they got it right and nearly killed me trying. The specialist said it was the medication but the Registra refused to say either way. I already had a fluid around my lungs problem previously caused by using Celebrex my mitral valve was pumping backwards, which made my heart failure worse. I can honestly say that of all the treatments I have had over the last 6 years, the thyroid and heart problems made me so ill I did want to die, but I am back on track for awhile, I have a heart surgeon who can't make up his mind to replace it or not because the skin on my chest is crappy from radiation and he is worried I wouldn't heal, so if it isn't one thing it is another being condemned with the dreaded BC curse.

I hear what you are saying. Seems it never ends. My husband has his medical problems, lots of them. When I am almost to the top of relaxing a bit he is at the bottom trying to come up. Then it reverses and we start over and over again. We can never get to the top at the same time. Some one told me "God never gives us more then we can handle" and this person said, "maybe our plate was too large"! But then if it was smaller it would just keep falling off and cover my feet. We go one day at a time and have decided that will be the way life will be for us. We look around and some are worse off then we are. Hugs, Sandy
