Anita,

I'm sorry I can't help in the D.C. area. But I can help in one area.

While you're searching for answers outside, you're making a mistake inside. You must enlist support from family, friends, neighbors, support group, wherever caring lies for you. I had always been a strong, there for everybody else, kind of woman. But I realized VERY early on with my initial breast cancer, that I couldn't do this alone. And neither can you. These people that are "expecting" you to stay strong just really want to see you be well, and they believe a positive attitude is essential. The attitude IS important, but part of getting there is talking through your feelings with others. Use them for talks, walks, shoulders to cry on, help with chores, etc. People who love you want to help. It's up to you to show them how. Forget being strong. Be smart, and know that you need them as much as they need you.

Good luck in your search for the right one. He/she is out there somewhere.

Love and healing light,

Lisa
