Test on the block after 9 years.

Hi Lolly,

I dont know whether, you could remember you had given me a tip for testing HER2 state of my case asking for a check on a possible lymp node in the neck, somtime back.
Anyway, I reached the hospital last week to ask for a test on my original block, that was removed 9 years ago and I was told that they had found the block and test would be done in a day or two.
Sounds great but the changes in the block over the period of long time could give varying results. isnt it ?

That is great, I'm so glad you were able to locate your tissue block and are getting it re-tested. I didn't know that changes could occur which would affect later testing, but it makes sense. Let us know what you find out, it's very interesting and you're the first one I know of who's had this done after such a long period of storage.
