It's me again...lol...with yet another question...trying to get my arms around what it means to be her2neu+++...

Seems like many many many of this population is er/pr negative.

Can we take a moment and roll call about that?

I am highly pr positive, moderately er positive.

Your turn...

This has been a very interesting question for me. My orig dx in Apr of 2001 showed the tumor to be er/pr+. When I went back for second surgery to clear margins they found a tiny isolated tumor that was er/pr-. Even so, they decided tamoxifen would be of benefit to me...NOT SO! When I recurred in 2003 the tumors found in my breast and liver were er/pr-. I am her2+++ and after completing 8 rounds of taxotere/herceptin I continue on herceptin every 3 weeks...indefinately.

Hi !

If you check my message to Paule about this you may see my case. Anyway, my 1st exscision biopsy in 1994 Sep, has shown ER & PR +ve, more on PR. I was on Tamoxifen till Dce 2003. Had to stop Tamoxifen for liver tumors and started Xeloda. The liver tumors found to be in stable( not growing and not spreading) after the 4th cycle and started Femera, in March 04. Have just completed 6 cycles and waiting for a scan to see the progress. Recently got tested the old tumor for her2 from the storage and found that the her2nue status was +2 & +3.
I may start hercptin soon.
Thanks

Chandi
