Sorry I haven't been on the boards lately but have been trying to deal with the pain and tests they have been running. I had a PET scan done Friday a week ago and they found a three inch mass on the para aorta in my stomach. The cancer is also spreading to many areas of my muscles and soft tissues. Went to see the radiologist on Thursday and they are going to do two to three weeks of radiation to see if they can reduce it. They feel like that is what is causing all the pain. Can't figure out why they didn't find it before it got to be three inches since I have been complaining of this pain since December. They have discontinued my Navelbine and my herceptin. Obviously the Navelbine wasn't working. We also have called Hospice and they are coming in once a week. Yesterday they ordered a hospital bed for me since I have been sleeping on the sofa for the last three weeks. (If that's what you call sleeping). I'm awake every two to three hours. I just hate the thought of the hospital bed being put in my living room, but my husband doesn't want it to be put in one the bedrooms because he is afraid I would be so isolated. I truly hate this disease - not only what it is doing too me but to my darling husband.
I am praying for you this is all so sad to read. This also makes me so mad to read you have cancer they knew you had pains and did no checking up on it.God Bless you and heal you.

You have been on my mind many times lately. You will continue to be in my prayers. I am enclosing a little poem that has encouraged me in my down days. Hope it encourages you and your husband as well. I thank God for him in your life.
Hugs, Lola
When there's no one else around He is there.
When you're sick and all alone He is there.
If no one will listen to you as you cry out in dispair,
believe me when I tell you He is there.
Give all your burdens to Him that's why He's there.
Don't carry that heavy load alone when He's there.
When we share our burdens with Him He will ease the hurt within,
Because He loves you He is always there.
Let Him hold you in His arms for He is there.
Let Him wipe those tears away for He is there.
The time is soon to come when we will look upon the Son,
Just believe until that time He is there.
Yes! believe our Saviour Jesus Christ is there.

AnnaMarie,
I'm hoping and praying your pain will ease with radiation. Shame on the docs for not listening to you sooner. I think of you often. Velva
