Hello -
You have come to the right place. There are many of us here who have success stories after given "iffy" prognoses.
I am one such survivor. I had a huge invasion of tumors to my liver and am alive over 2 years later to write you about it! I never really looked pregnant - but did have some puffing up in my abdoman.
IMPORTANT - keep in mind that your sister has BREAST cancer in her liver - NOT LIVER cancer. These are 2 different things. Liver cancer itself is harder to treat than BREAST cancer that has moved to the liver. There is a much higher success rate.
I had to take Taxol, Navelbine and Herceptin to get rid of my tumors. I had 27 weekly treatments and once in a while had to skip the chemos and get only the Herceptin as my blood counts had gone too low. They usually do the first scan in 4 or 6 weeks. Your sister should show some improvement by then. I had one stubborn tumor that would not shrink like the others, but it finally gave in.
Your sister has a very good chance with these drugs and good caregivers. The love of her brother is also very important, so keep showing her that.
Keep us posted.
