Hi Lisa,

I feel the same as you. My instincts are telling me physicians are giving herceptin at earlier and earlier stages, so I'm going to make the switch this week.

It is so good to hear you are doing well with your current drug combo. I'm really stunned at the many women who post and are node negative and then go to positive. I "get it" that her2 is a very aggressive tumor marker, but when I think that so many of us start out node neg., one would think that traditional chemo cocktails will destroy them.

I'm fighting it with a smile on my face.

Healing love and light to you,

Vicki

I am beginning to think that nodal status is not very relevant in her2neu positive breast cancer. Breast cancer can spread in blood and lymph without ever having reached a sentinel node and without having exceeded a centimeter in size. People here are living proof, and the medical community knows all about it. I agree that in years to come we will likely be seeing herceptin given as adjuvant therapy to all who qualify (i.e. all who are her2 positive).

Best to you all,

lauren
