aspirin and breast cancer

My onc just emailed me telling me to take an aspirin a day now, based on a study that just came out of Columbia University (she is at Columbia). The study showed that in women with hormone positive breast cancer, an aspirin a day was beneficial in preventing recurrence. I asked her if ibuprofin would do the same trick, and she said yes.

There is certainly lots of excitement about this study. I did want to comment that according to the study that while aspirin has been shown to be effective ibuprofen is less effective.
