I justed wanted to thank everyone for all their
support over the months with my mother. Everyone was great through all this and I appreciate all the advice.
My mom opted to stop treatment about 4 weeks ago, and she passed away this morning. She was a very strong woman that loved her 3 children and her two nine month old grandchildren.
Again thank you all and good luck to all of you.

Gary, I'm so sorry for your loss. I didn't know your Mom, but I know she had a compassionate, loving son. That made her a lucky woman.

Gary,
I am truly sorry to hear that we have lost yet another special person. I hope you find comfort in knowing you did everything you could to support your mom during this difficult time. As a mother to older children I can tell you how very special it is to have your children's support in this battle. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers to help you find peace and comfort.

Your mother was a brave woman and knew when to make her choices. You respected that and loved her for it.
Does not make the grieving any easier, but, as others have mentioned, keep the good memories above the surface and lots of photos of fun times around. This tactic helped my husband when he lost his mother.
